Brass Lessons at
Weatherford Music Academy

Brass Lesson Information

What Brass Instruments do you teach?
We teach all woodwind instruments including but not limited to Trombone, trumpet, tuba, euphonium, and more. If you don't see the instrument you are interested in here, send us a message!

How qualified are your Brass instructors?
Our Brass instructors have years to decades of teaching experience and degrees in music performance or education, along with many of them having professional performing experience. Our Brass faculty has band director experience, along with incredible student success records. Learning to excel at a Brass instrument can open up many opportunities for students such as scholarships, which our teachers are happy to help your student prepare for. We also welcome adult learners who may have played a brass instrument in the past and want to get their chops back, or just want to learn for the first time!

What will I learn from brass lessons at the Academy?
Students in trombone, trumpet, or any other woodwind instrument will be able to work on their pieces from school band. They can be prepared for region or state auditions all the way up to college audition pieces. Our instructors can also work with beginners to develop the proper technique, embouchure, and ability to read music.undefined

Do I have to know how to read music?
No. Beginners are welcome!

Are there recitals?
Absolutely! Every December and May, our students have the opportunity to perform, and admission is free, so you can invite all of your family and friends.
