(AGES SIX AND UP)
If you've always wanted to hone your skills as a rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel or R&B singer, Weatherford Music Academy has the voice teacher for you. Our voice program primarily on popular music. Each week, students are led through physical exercises to improve their vocal range, breath control, enunciation and more. Each student set goals with their teacher, either to sound like their favorite recording artist, or to develop their own unique voice.
What’s the #1 reason to take voice lessons at the Academy?
Our voice instructors work with each student and parent on a personal level to craft a lesson plan that fits the student's individual needs and favorite type of music. Whether it’s a beginning singer, a retiree seeking a new hobby, or an aspiring artist, our friendly, dedicated teachers will share their love of popular music and help you set goals to achieve your musical goals.
How qualified are your voice instructors?
Our voice and singing instructors bring years of professional performance and teaching experience to your lessons. Our founder, Phoenix, has studied at Berklee College of Music and has years of professional performance experience, and our other instructors come from a similar pedigree, with degrees in music from colleges like UT Austin and University of North Texas, and a wide variety of education and performance experience.
What will I learn from voice lessons at the Academy?
Voice students spend time each week doing vocal exercises to improve their vocal range, breath control, tone of voice, and more. All voice students set goals with their teacher to work on their ability to sing songs they can relate to. Some of our students are singing songs by artists like Grace Vanderwaal, Vance Joy, Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Alec Benjamin, and more. Our students can be seen performing at talent shows, open mics, and soon you’ll see them performing around town and beyond! Not only do we help students to find performance opportunities, we help to prepare students for any performance opportunity they can dream of!
